Provides specialized clinical care to women, children and their families living with HIV, reproductive infectious disease and congenital infectious disease.
The Oak Tree Clinic at BC Women’s Hospital provides specialized, family-centred care for women, children, and pregnant people affected by HIV, reproductive infectious diseases, and congenital infections. The clinic offers integrated medical care, pharmacy support, counselling, education, and social services.
The team at Oak Tree Clinic consists adult infectious disease specialist physicians, pediatric infectious disease specialist physicians, obstetrics/gynecology physicians with HIV expertise, psychiatrists, addictions counsellors, pharmacists, social workers, clinic nurses, nurse clinicians, nurse practitioners, dietitians, outreach social workers, and outreach nurses.
Patients can be referred by providers or self-refer if they are HIV-positive. Confidential, coordinated care is provided on site at the Women’s Health Centre in Vancouver.
