Brief Intervention Unit - Vancouver General Hospital

This unit responds to the needs of the adult psychiatric patient in crisis.
The emphasis of our program is on crisis management, brief psychotherapy re-stabilization, and seamless return to the community. The interdisciplinary team discusses and makes recommendations and treatment plans for every patient at rounds each morning.

Focused on clients who require longer-term, intensive treatment to return to their community. The length of stay is approximately 5-12 days.

Hour of Operation: Open Monday through Friday, closed Saturday, open Sunday, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
